Scope of Services
Thousand Lab (referred to as "the Studio") provides website design, development, and related technical services. The specific scope, delivery schedule, and fees are governed by the contract signed between both parties.
Quotes & Payment
- All quotes are denominated in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) and assessed according to project complexity and requirements.
- Payment is structured in stages: 30% deposit upon signing, 40% at mid-project review, and 30% upon final delivery.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days; prices may be adjusted after that period due to market changes.
Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of the final payment, the intellectual property rights to the custom code are transferred to the client. The Studio retains the right to use open-source packages and its own component library, as well as to showcase the project in its portfolio.
Maintenance & Warranty
- A one-month free maintenance period covering bug fixes is provided after project delivery.
- The free maintenance period does not include new feature development or design changes.
- A monthly maintenance contract may be arranged after the free period ends.
Limitation of Liability
The Studio is not liable for losses caused by failures of third-party services, including but not limited to hosting providers, domain registrars, and payment processors. The Studio's maximum liability is capped at the total fees received for the project in question.
Termination & Refunds
- Either party may terminate the contract with 14 days' written notice.
- If the client terminates mid-project, payments for completed stages are non-refundable.
- If the Studio terminates mid-project, fees for work not yet performed will be refunded.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
